Rescuing a stalled healthcare platform and making it usable for clinicians and patients.
Challenge
A 2-year-old legacy care coordination platform had been designed to impress in demos but failed in daily use. Four user roles — care receivers, family, facility staff, clinicians — one product, no consistency, no design system.
MY ACTIONS
1. Led an end-to-end redesign across web, iOS, and Android. 2. Built a HIPAA-compliant design system from scratch to unify UI across all four roles. 3. Defined component architecture and design contracts with engineering to minimize implementation effort.
Solution
Turned a demo-driven product into one built for real clinical use — reduced cognitive load, improved consistency, and a scalable design foundation the team ships on today.
